How Often Should You Service Your Pool in the Off Season?

It is true that when the heat isn’t scorching us in the valley, the pool isn’t getting as much use, but does that mean services should stop on it?

Absolutely not, the pool still needs to be kept up on things including water balancing, checking on pool equipment, and treating the pool surface of damage. Leaves and organic material still fall in and can cause organic staining on your pool surface. If left untreated for too long it can cause a long term, ugly stain that can result in having to drain the pool to acid wash. Leaves and grass clippings can also cause clogging in the skimmer basket and pump basket which can ruin expensive equipment such as pumps and filters.
